Now for a step back in time for anyone on holiday in Cyprus or more specifically holidaying in Larnaca we are pleased to tell you about Lefkara - The village in the southern Troodos foothills a few miles away from Larnaca, lying just off the Nicosia to Limassol highway.

The village is famous for its Lefkara Lace often referred to as Lefkaritika along with its splendid silver works. The village is a popular tourist attraction for quite a few reasons. The streets of Lefkara are very picturesque with pretty cobbles underfoot. The main street is lined with coffee shops, places to grab a snack, and shops selling traditional Cyprus products and souvenirs.

Walk further into Lefkara and you will often find the women of the village sitting outside of their homes working on their famous embroidery. Digging a little deeper into Lefkara there is a Cyprus Delight factory to be explored as well as a small folklore museum which houses the furniture and effects of a typical traditional wealthy Cypriot family.
